Jimmy Butler makes commercial rumors: the owner of Minnesota Timberwolves would like to quickly get noticed

Minnesota owner Timberwolves, Glen Taylor, is ready to leave the Jimmy Butler era – and quickly.

According to an ESPN report, Taylor, who attended the NBA's Board of Governors meetings this weekend, has ordered an agreement on Butler's shipment to be reached "in the coming days." The purpose, of course, is to avoid a greater distraction than Butler's commercial demand and the events that followed have already taken place.

Minnesota has scheduled its pre-season media day for Monday, and training camp is scheduled to begin Tuesday. Neither Taylor nor Butler seem interested in being matched before, but it is unclear how quickly he can reach an agreement with a team of interest.

For the Butler teams, the Brooklyn Nets, Houston Rockets, L.A. Clippers, Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers and Portland Trail Blazers were among those who showed interest, reports ESPN. But none has yet engaged in serious business discussions, which has allowed Butler to remain a member of the Timberwolves to start the week.

Butler is set to become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2019 and has made it clear he will not renegotiate with Minnesota. He has named the Clippers as its favorite landing spot, according to reports, and also has an interest in nets and knicks.
