Michelle Obama has been busy for the past two years since leaving the White House, empowering young people to achieve their goals to prepare a national tour to promote his new book.

And now she has even dipped her toes in the wedding industry. Well, somehow.

On Saturday, the former FLOTUS helped a young couple tie up a knot at Theater on the Lake in Chicago.

Stephanie Rivkin and Joel Sircus, who were guided by Obama, have close ties to the family.

The bride, Rivkin, is the daughter of Robert S.Rivkin, deputy mayor of Chicago, and Cindy Moelis, who was appointed by former President Barack Obama to the position of director of the president's commission on home stock exchanges -Blanche.

During the ceremony, a participant, Tina Newman, could not contain her enthusiasm after the appearance of Obama at the altar and the publication of an Instagram story now deleted.

"Holy Moly", Newman's post reads, complete with a heart emoji.

"That moment Michelle Obama officiated at your cousin's wedding!"

In the video, which has since been obtained by TMZ, one can see Obama wearing a long-sleeved black dress while she recites greetings in a microphone for the bride to repeat after her.

according to The New York Times, the bride is 27 years old and is sales manager for the New York office, but will move to Chicago in October.

The 26-year-old is an investment partner at DNS Capital, Gigi Pritzker's investment office and her husband.

The couple, both graduates of Yale, met high school students at Walter Payton College Prep.

The wedding arrives a few weeks before Obama embarks on the tour of his first memoir, To become, a book that she says is "deeply personal".

Earlier this month, she posted a video on Instagram saying, "Hi everyone, that's Michelle Obama … It's a great day for me because I've finished my book … I can not wait to share it with the world "in the clip.

"During this period when I came out of the White House, I had the time to think and reflect for the first time in a long time and I really thought about people and stories and about experiences that have taken place. I have trained and helped me become the person I am today and I am proud of what I have created.

"I'm proud because it's candid, it's totally and completely That's why I'm a little scared because it's straightforward and honest and open, but I can not wait to share it with the world whole. "
