Bumblebee fights Decepticons in new movie trailer

Bumblebee might not talk, but he's full of emotion in Transformers' new spinoff / prequel full trailer, Bumblebee: The Movie.

In the trailer released Sunday by Paramount Pictures, we see Bumblebee move from the original Volkswagen Beetle to the famous Autobot we know and love.

We learn that Bumblebee was sent to Earth in 1987 to fulfill a secret mission defined by Optimus Prime to protect all humans.

But Bumblebee is not obliged to work alone. His human ally is a young mechanic named Charlie Watson (Hailee Steinfeld) who unknowingly invites Bumblebee home when she picks up an old VW Beetle.

Soon, the trailer reveals more about the friendship between Bumblebee and Charlie, as well as the danger they will face when enemy Decepticons enter the running.

The US military does not seem too excited about the presence of Bumblebee on the planet.

The film also stars actors John Cena, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Jason Drucker, Kenneth Choi, Gracie Dzienny, Rachel Crow and Pamela Adlon.

In particular, director Travis Knight is at the helm. He replaces Michael Bay, who directs the Transformers films since the launch of the first live film in 2007.

Hardcore fans paying close attention to this trailer might also notice that the G1 models of Autobots and Decepticons are being used. Transformers: Generation 1 was the Hasbro toy line that ran from 1984 to 1992.

Fans had already had a glimpse of Bumblebee when he met Charlie for the first time. short trailer which debuted in June.
