NFL rumors: this team shows interest in trading for Le'Veon Bell | NFL

The Le'Veon Bell saga continues.

The running back has yet to show up at the Steelers this season and will not be on the field Monday for the Pittsburgh Week 3 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Bell did not participate in the team's activities this summer after he and the Steelers apparently failed to agree on a new contract. In every game the 26-year-old does not play, Bell gives up $ 855,000. And after reports come out on Sunday that the Steelers would listen to commercial offers for the second round, it seems like an AFC team has expressed interest in adding it to their roster.

According to the New York Daily News, Manish Mehta, the New York Jets have shown interest in Bell.

"The Jets have not yet made any concrete offer for Bell, but they think the Steelers are serious about moving the offensive offensive weapon," Mehta writes, citing sources.

After eliminating the Detroit 48-17 Lions in Week 1, the Jets struggled, dropping their last two games to 1-2 in the season. Bell would certainly add a boost to the Jets offense with 5,336 rushing yards, 655 receiving yards and 42 touchdowns in his career.

And if New York plans to rebuild, Bell would be the player he wants to build and provide a solid weapon to quarterback Sam Darnold.

If Bell were to be traded to New York, he would be under his control for the rest of the season before singing long-term with the team or testing the free agent market.
