On Monday, King released the edition of Week 3 of his column "Football Morning in America." The in-depth play includes 16 sections, including "MVP Watch," featuring five players in search of the NFL MVP.
This week, King scored third-seeded linebacker Bears Khalil Mack in his MVP watch, offering critical acclaim for the NFL's 2016 defensive player of the year.

"The bears are 2-1 and a miracle of Aaron Rodgers 3-0, and Mack has four sacks, three forced fumbles and an interception," King wrote. "Think about what he will be when he knows the defense."
Yeah, it'll do.
In his first three games with the Bears, Mack has released an absolute number of video games, as noted by King. Imagine what the linebacker's number might be at the end of the season if he is able to stay healthy.
Mack is clearly one of the first candidates to win the defensive player title of the year 2018. If he continues to play at such a level, winning the NFL MVP award is not excluded.
After intercepting three interceptions in the first half of Tampa Bay-Pittsburgh on MNF, Ryan Fitzmagic returned to Ryan Fitzpatrick. The result is that the Bears should expect to see Jameis Winston at quarterback when the Buccaneers will show up at Soldier Field next Sunday.

Trubisky ranks ahead of rookies Josh Allen of Buffalo and Sam Darnold of the Jets, but he is 26th in yards per attempt at a very low level of 5.68.

The Bears' defense did most of the work during Arizona's Cardinals Week 3 win, generating a turnover and forcing a quarterback to keep Mitchell Trubisky and his company in the game.
Khalil Mack played a key role in the victory, but the rest of the defense also progressed. Eddie Jackson and Akiem Hicks were the best beginners of the match by Pro Football Focus.
They both made the Week of the Week team for their performances.

Technically, Sherrick McManis was the top-ranked PFF player for Chicago, recording a bag and interception on just five games played.
Mack was right behind Jackson and Hicks to lead the defense, while Jordan Howard was the highest ranked offensive player in the Bears.
At the other end of the spectrum, Mitchell Trubisky was the lowest ranked player on the team. He was the fourth lowest QB of week 3, ahead of only Tyrod Taylor and two-quarters of the Cardinals.
Matt Nagy will need a better quarterback, but for the moment, the Bears have found ways to climb to the top of the NFC North standings.
