It's official: Dunkin lets Donuts – on behalf only.

The food chain announced Tuesday that she would simply rebrand Dunkin, with the new brand making its appearances in places and on goods starting in January.

However, it is not the abandonment of breakfast that made the chain famous. The largest donut retailers in the United States sell 2.9 billion treats, as well as donuts called Munchkins, a year around the world.

"Although donuts do not appear in our logo anymore, we remain committed to serving our donuts and will continue to offer new seasonal varieties to delight donut lovers around the world," said Tony Weisman, Marketing Manager at Dunkin & # 39; .

Dunkin Donuts began testing the name change last year with a site in Pasadena, California.

In recent years, Dunkin's has gone from simple donuts to the beverage market with coffee and iced teas. Earlier this year, the chain introduced cold brewed coffee.

The company also diversifies its food selection. In June, Dunkin 'rolled fried donuts, made with croissant-type donut dough and mixed with cinnamon sugar.

"By simplifying and modernizing our name, while paying homage to our heritage, we have the opportunity to create an incredible new energy for Dunkin ', both in and out of our stores," said Weisman.
