The charge of assaulting Roberto Osuna was withdrawn on Tuesday after the Houston Astros reunited with the Ontario provincial court.
Osuna, who attended the hearing in Toronto, must follow a series of conditions for a year or face criminal charges, which would result in a maximum sentence of four years in jail. The peace bond requires that he have no contact with the alleged victim for one year.

Osuna, 23, was charged with assault in May in an alleged domestic violence incident while still a member of the Toronto Blue Jays. The Major League Baseball suspended the game without paying 75 games without complying with its domestic violence policy.
