Will Smith celebrates his 50th birthday in a remarkable way.
The actor celebrated the special event by jumping from a helicopter and into the Grand Canyon on Tuesday. Will Smith: the jump was broadcast live on the actor's YouTube channel and was greeted by a long-time friend, former Costa Rican Alfonso Ribeiro.
Smith has broadcasted his big jump as part of an outreach initiative and donations for Global Citizen's education campaigns – the organization is working to fight global poverty and hunger.

In the live broadcast, the actor acknowledged that he was terrified of the idea of making the jump by saying, "I have had an interesting relationship of fear all my life.
