Seizing this opportunity was one of the main themes of the September 25th edition of SmackDown Live, as many underused stars were chosen to attract attention. It all started with Tye Dillinger, who tweeted his way into a match with American champion Shinsuke Nakamura.
Aiden English had to face Rusev after his hateful attack last week, hoping to outdo his former best friend. Big E spent most of the past seven days specifying how much he hated Sheamus before a big clash between the two heavyweights.
After months playing the second fiddle on SmackDown, AJ Styles and Samoa Joe had to be in the center of the main event when they clashed when signing a contract for their last clash.
As the WWE Super Show-Down approaches October 6th, there is no doubt that Daniel Bryan and The Miz–as well as Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair–are making their way into this edition of SmackDown Live.
This show had the potential to excite and change the direction of WWE to move forward or simply pass without impact.

R-Truth hosted its first Truth TV segment alongside its partner, Mixed Match Challenge, Carmella, and special guest Bryan.
After a dance break, Truth congratulated the former WWE Champion, only for The Miz to appear and clearly explains why he will always defeat The Yes! Man.
The host then banned Miz his talk show for ruining the animal segment. In response, The A-Lister ran behind the scenes and demanded that General Manager Paige cancel Truth TV. Instead, she reserved it to face the truth for the right to host the talk show.
With some inexpensive tactics, Miz caught up with his former teammate with the Skull-Crushing final and then mocked Bryan on a comment before hitting a knee in the race for the win.

Analysis
It was a silly segment, but it worked because everyone was in the joke and in great shape. The truth is perhaps the company's funniest wrestler and he has made the most of his own blunders to become the delusional man.
The match that followed was better than the last time these two veterans clashed, but that's not all. This worked mainly because the focus was still entirely on Bryan vs. Miz. Both continue to sell their dynamic and it's easy to get excited about their upcoming showdown.

New Day joked about The Bar until Sheamus and Cesaro got tired of it.
While Big E caught the Celtic Warrior several times, turning even a Kick Brogue into a Powerbomb, Sheamus emerged victorious after a Kick Brogue.

Analysis
It was a good match, but it was simplistic with two great veterans. These two can do a lot better than what they've done this time.
Sheamus' victory was the right move, however, as she continued to develop the heel momentum. There is no way for The Bar to defeat The New Day, so the duo needs as many wins as possible to remain a threat before defeat.

Rusev called on English to explain his actions last week. The Drama King wasted no time and showed two video packets: the first recounted his impact on Rusev Day, and the second made it clear that Lana had ruined the brand.
While The Ravishing Russian was trying to defend itself, English made one last comment to ask why Lana refused to talk to her husband about the night in Milwaukee. He dropped the microphone and left, leaving the Super Athlete confused.

Analysis
Short, sweet and impressive in layers, it was the segment that this quarrel needed for the legs. English has already proven that he can be a high-performance manipulative stub and has been honest in his explanations.
Although his insinuation about Lana may end up leading this rivalry in the wrong direction, it's just the complication that history needs to interest people for the moment.

Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville laughed at Naomi and Asuka's new friendship, faces defying the heels.
The IIconics watched the comment as The Empress of Tomorrow survived serious punishments before hitting a side-by-side hit with Naomi for the Deville pin.

Analysis
There was not much in this match as Asuka was beaten for the majority of the competition and continued to suffer. It was strange to see the Japanese Superstar so vulnerable to two ineffective stubs, especially when Naomi was not very attracted.
The IIconics on the comment are mostly content to divert attention from the action in the ring rather than doing more for this rivalry.

Dillinger came out fiery at the start of this match, fighting everything he had against the US champion.
Nakamura did not seem to have an answer for The Perfect 10 even though he had not fallen into a frog splash. However, Randy Orton appeared and assaulted Dillinger to provoke a disqualification.
The Viper continued to trample the oppressed before connecting to the ground with a suspended DDT. The Artist added a new injury by hitting The Perfect 10 with a Kinshasa in the LED panel.
Behind the scenes, The Apex Predator refused to call Dillinger his next victim but admitted that he hated the idea of a "perfect" 10. "

Analysis
The match here was not very exciting, but he did his job focusing on Dillinger's desperate situation for an opportunity.
Having never had a lot of luck on SmackDown, this match–coupled with Orton's interest in him–can be the spark needed to ignite the career of the old pillar of NXT.

Lana, distracted, quickly overcame her frustration with Lynch, but the SmackDown women's champion took her opponent seriously.
The Irish Lass Kicker ripped her off the first rope, hit the Bexploder and quickly found herself in the Dis-Arm-Her for the win.

Analysis
This match was a mess, as is often the case at any moment.
She was sloppy and poorly coordinated, but it told a solid story with Lana, more motivated than Irish Lass Kicker and almost already angry before Lynch showed why she was the champion.

Styles came out for his contract signing, but not Joe.
however, The Samoan Bid Specialist appeared on the TitanTron, filming himself when he arrived at Styles.
As The Phenomenal One begged him to do nothing, Joe rang at the end of the show.

Analysis
Part of the Styles-Joe quarrel became a bit ridiculous, but there was perfect simplicity in this last segment and this could be the culmination of the rivalry. The heel did what he had always promised to do and shot the last shot that could break the spirit of the WWE champion.
It was good that the segment ended when he did, leaving everything else to the imagination.
