Childish Gambino reportedly postponed several dates on the North American trek of his This Is America tour after suffering a foot injury.
Fam Rothstein, co-director of the creative collective Wolf + Rothstein (the collective has a partnership with Childish), announced the unfortunate news on Twitter Tuesday (September 25). "This tour in America is postponed, not canceled," tweeted Rothstein. "My guy played with the pain, but he has to go out with a few dates. Back before the years
It is difficult to know how many dates will be reported. Gambino has already canceled his tour at the Inglewood Forum in California on September 26th. He is scheduled to perform eleven more dates to complete his last show at the Nashville Bridgestone Arena on October 12th. The rapper is also expected to perform at three concerts in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, although it is unclear whether these stops will also be suspended.
Gambino would have suffered the injury before his show in Dallas on September 23, according to TMZ. Sources said that the artist arrived in a wheelchair and that an orthopedic device was installed on his set at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Vegas on September 21, before continuing his performance.
As stated before, the artist "Redbone" ends his last days under the name of Childish Gambino. "If you bought a ticket for this concert, it means you bought a ticket for the last Childish Gambino tour," he said on stage at Madison Square Garden earlier this month.
Stay tuned for more details regarding the postponed shows and ticketing information.
