Adonis and Rocky take the Dragos

Adonis is preparing to fight the son of Ivan Drago in the ring of the new trailer of Creed II. the Creed Michael B. Jordan plays the role of Adonis Creed, son of boxing legend Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) Rocky series. Sylvester Stallone took over his role of Rocky Balboa for the first Creed and three years later, he returned to play the character for the eighth time in total in the follow-up. Sly continues to write the sequel with Cheo Hodari Coker (creator of Netflix Marvel) Luke Cage series).

By the time Creed II gets up, Adonis started to balance his professional and personal life – having proven himself as a boxer (his family name apart) and started a family with his girlfriend Bianca (Tessa Thompson). However, as he begins to get comfortable, life throws Adonis on a bend and he finds himself facing his biggest boxing opponent: Viktor Drago (Florian Munteanu), son of his father. Ivan (Dolph Lundgren), aka. the man who killed Apollo in the ring. With the help of Rocky and his loved ones, Adonis must return to his roots as a fighter if he has a chance to come out of his confrontation with Viktor in one piece … much less, win his match.

While the first Creed II The trailer danced while revealing who is Adonis' new opponent until the end, this new promo plunges into the conflict between Adonis, Rocky and the Dragos. There is certainly the potential for rich drama to be extracted from this premise, with Coker having (intriguingly) described the film as being about "the inheritance of sons haunted by their fathers". At the same time, the decision to bring the villain back Rocky IV – itself generally accepted to be the most important of Rocky movies – could give rise to a sequel that lacks the mood that made the first Creed so effective.

Another wild card factor is here Creed II director Steven Caple Jr. – a storyteller who has only one film to his credit right now (the 2016 indie drama well-received, less well-known Earth). Of course, Black PantherThe director Ryan Coogler had only realized one independent film before taking the original CreedSo, there is already a precedent for promising filmmakers who prove themselves on this franchise. the Creed II The trailers are generally promising so far, so hopefully Caple will have as much success with Coogler before him.
