Tropical storm Kirk has strengthened, but the expected force changes are limited to Thursday.

• Location: 305 miles east of Barbados, 430 miles east-southeast of Martinique

• Maximum sustained winds: 60 mph

• Movement: West at 18 mph

At 2 am, the center of tropical storm Kirk was moving westward at about 18 mph, and a west to northwest movement was expected in the coming days.
