Boston Red Sox rookie Mookie Betts lost a base against the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday to become the second player this season to fly 30 bases and 30 home runs.
Jose Ramirez of the Cleveland Indians has also joined the club 30-30 this season.
In Wednesday's first game against Baltimore, Betts led the second run and took second place on the third field. He then stood up and recognized an acclaim from the sparse crowd that attended the morning's composition of Tuesday night's rain.
Betts, 25, who joined Jacoby Ellsbury (2011) as the only Red Sox player to join the 30-30, is currently hitting .343 and has 32 home homers on Wednesday.
The last time an AL player made the leap in a season was in 2011, when Ellsbury and Ian Kinsler did it.
Betts is the 40th different player to have reached the milestone, which has been completed 62 times.
