Well, it was a wild final evening on "Big Brother," and it was really anyone's game to know who would win the last three. But no one has seen this proposal come!
As always, the former winner, Dr. Will Kirby, was on hand to chat with the jurors to get an idea of what they felt about the Top Three, and even that little conversation to clarify their choice. Everyone respected Tyler's brains throughout the match and the big moves he had to make, but it was a dirty game.
Everyone appreciated JC's stealth behind the scenes, and the fact that he had gone so far with only one win in the competition, but it also seemed that the lack of comp wins was going to hurt him. Kaycee, on the other hand, was the competition beast, but she never used her five Vetos.
Haleigh argued that she had no reason to do so because her alliance was in power and she only confirmed their wishes at those times. The three finalists played very different games and were all very successful. JC, who actually had no loyal alliance, needed a decisive victory to win the Final Three, and he got it.
But, Final Three is not enough to fight for the price of half a million dollars.
SURPRISE PROPOSAL
You do not need to win at all to emerge victorious, as two former Houseguests revealed when they shocked everyone with a surprise wedding proposal. There have been three performances this season, with Tyler and Angela having spent most of the summer together. The same goes for Haleigh and Faysal, who continued their romance in the jury room after their expulsion.
But for Bayleigh and Swaggy C, they separated after only 27 days and have not seen each other since, she did a jury and he did not do it. But Swaggy spent much of the summer with his family, celebrating his parents' wedding anniversary and even playing golf with his dad every weekend. Swaggy is serious!
But we had no idea how serious he was when he got up and actually offered him in front of everyone. They spent less than a month together. It's been 99 days since they met. This did not matter. And with the success of "Big Brother" in relationship building, we would not be surprised if it defies probabilities.
TWO FINAL
But there was still a game to play and a winner.
HOH's three-part competition shocked everyone by finishing with a completely different game. There was no "Balance of Just-Us". Instead, everything ended with fake podcasts that were either truthful about the experiences of the jury members at home, or filled with lies.
After agreeing to launch the first round at Kaycee, Tyler reconsidered and hung up. Kaycee pleaded with him to give up and honor their agreement, but eventually survived her. Did this destroy their final agreement? Well, it was quickly put to the test after Kaycee defeated JC in part 2 … but we have an ox with this competition.
Kaycee defeated JC by 39 seconds, and we are confident that JC has spent more than that in trying to get back from this wall. The fact that Kaycee probably weighs more than him seemed to make a huge difference in their descent times, and even though they have gone up and down this wall, it's easy to imagine that it costs JC 39 seconds.
Nevertheless, it was a heartbreaking end for JC, because despite a new production trying to make us think that Kaycee would be anything but faithful to his contracts and alliances, we all knew that she was going to lead Tyler to the finals. And then, poor JC was still screwed when he did not even have his say on the questions asked by the jury to the finalists.
FINAL PLEA
This vote was much closer than expected. Tyler and Kaycee each tried to plead their case and Tyler again tried to convince how much he had had this Power app and that he had never had to use it. Clearly, he thought it was a huge element in his game, but it was really not the case.
Eventually, he started getting into the details, like how he put Bayleigh at the back door of Scottie and some other misleading moves he made to control the votes. Finally, we arrived at the nitty-gritty of how someone goes to the finale of "Big Brother".
Kaycee, for her part, maintained her advocacy almost entirely on the fact that she prioritized her social play, treated everyone as real human beings and cared sincerely for their feelings, whether they did or not part of his alliance. And she did it we saw her again and again in the house.
But that's not going to win "Big Brother". But finally, after saying that she had forgotten what she meant, Kaycee mentioned the fact that she had played an honest and loyal game. Again, it is true and almost unknown in "Big Brother". She never made a promise that she could not stand. At worst, she did not reveal things that she knew or told someone that she was good when that was not the case. But it's still a long way from how Tyler played.
WINNER
And that's what strategy do you respect the most? Tyler made aggressive moves, but he lied and played almost everyone in this house at one time or another. He betrayed everyone on the jury. Kaycee played a quieter game with more integrity and when her social game had driven her as far as possible, she began to light competitions.
It was a whim, and it was a much tighter victory than expected.
As Julie Chen Moonves – yes, she's still here – read the votes, it seemed like Tyler was going to run away with her. He scored all the level 6 votes, as well as JC and Haleigh. Of the last people evicted, only Sam voted for Kaycee, but she personally felt betrayed by Tyler.
But then, the tide turned and Kaycee swept the votes of the first four people expelled. They were made dirty by level 6, but none of them felt that they had made them dirty. And this cleaner game earned him $ 500,000.
We will not lie, we were worried as she had made a mistake of $ 450,000 by choosing to take Tyler rather than JC, but once she boasted about her loyalty (and then proved with Tyler sitting next to her), everything made sense. It was a gamble and it was a very close vote.
