When the fire alarms sounded just after Jeremy Bourasa's wedding ceremony, his wife, Krista, knew that her husband's husband would answer the call.
Jeremy, a firefighter from Cottage Grove, Minnesota, left his wedding to fight a devastating fire on September 1 as the newlyweds took pictures after their ceremony. Place at the Saint Paul Park fire station where Jeremy is a volunteer.

The fire getting worse, Krista turned to Jeremy, 39, to let him know that he could leave with his blessing.
"I was just saying, 'Oh, my God. Then I just looked at him and said, "Go ahead, go ahead. Go ahead, "recalls Krista. "I could see the look in his eyes when I turned to him, he was sort of torn up, thinking about his family and people in need of help."

When Jeremy left in the fire truck, wedding photographer December Orpen took pictures of his departure.
As Krista and the other guests went to the front desk to wait for his return, Jeremy helped extinguish a powerful fire that decimated a house.
"Great, super dedicated to Jeremy, he always goes on every call he can go to," says Krista. "He also works as a mortgage processor, so he does it full time. But there are times when he will leave and go to the fire or a call. This happens at least twice a month.
One of the reasons why Jeremy was hired to become a firefighter was due to the devastating losses suffered by Krista.
"I lost my niece and nephew in a house fire two years ago," she says. Then, three years ago, my sister 's house also burned – that was before Jeremy became a firefighter, and it was after that that he said, "D? okay, yes, I'll do it. " . "

"I would not have guessed at all, I would not change anything," she says. "Jeremy is really amazing, and that's why I married him. He would do anything for anyone, he would really do it.
