PHILADELPHIA – Eagles running back Jay Ajayi says he has a small back fracture, but plans to play Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

"Just roll until he heals all alone," he said, adding that it was possible to do it while playing. "You just have to protect him."

Ajayi was injured in the back early in the first quarter against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2. A group of Bucs defenders folded him back while placing him behind the line of scrimmage. He remained one more room before ending up on the sideline.

Ajayi entered the locker room twice for treatment, but eventually returned to the match. He finished with seven runs for 23 yards and one touchdown. He was absent last week against the Indianapolis Colts and missed Wednesday's try before returning Thursday as a full participant.

Ajayi, 25, is on contract. He made three touchdowns in two games despite limited action.

Receiver Alshon Jeffery attended Thursday an illness. It seems that something is circulating. Defensive end Michael Bennett also missed Wednesday's session with illness, but returned on Thursday.

According to reports, safety Rodney McLeod has undergone an end-of-season surgery to repair a torn MCL. The Eagles did not immediately confirm the news. Veteran Corey Graham should play a leading role against Malcolm Jenkins in the absence of McLeod.
