Friday will still see some showers in the D.C. region, but do not worry: the rain will drop throughout the day, giving way to the sun and warm weather throughout the weekend.

Early morning users should be cautious on the roads, as the rain of the night caused flooded roads. Storm Team 4 meteorologist Sheena Parveen said, "Expect water on the roads and never cross flooded roads!"
The rain should only continue for the first part of the morning, but the rain should gradually disappear before sunrise, says Storm Team 4 meteorologist Sheena Parveen.
There are flood warnings and watches throughout the D.C. area early Friday morning.
Until 7:15, D.C. is under flood warning, as well as parts of Virginia and Maryland, including:
Maryland
- Frederick County
- Montgomery County
Virginia
- Arlington County
- City of Alexandria
- Church of the City of Falls
- City of Fairfax
- Fairfax County
Flood warnings in effect in Maryland up to 8 hours include:
- Anne Arundel County
- Baltimore City
- Baltimore County
- Carroll County
- Howard County
- Prince George's County
Flood warnings are also in effect for Seneca Creek in Dawsonville, Maryland, Montgomery County until Friday evening. The warning was also issued for the Potomac River at Edwards Ferry, which affects Montgomery County, Maryland, and Loudoun County, Virginia, throughout the weekend.
The worst of the rain was felt on Thursday night and early Friday morning, causing flooding in the Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge in Virginia.
But, "after the end of the showers early Friday, we will have sunshine and highs in the 70s," said Storm Team 4 meteorologist Amelia Draper.
Pockets of heavy rain around I-81 are causing flooding in the Shenandoah Valley and in Blue Ridge. This more abundant rain will head east into the Washington subway during the night, which could result in flooding in the Washington subway and areas to the east.
