The San Francisco 49ers take a wait-and-see approach with knee injury to back-half Matt Breida.
Breida, who will play the weekend tied with the Dallas Cowboys, Ezekiel Elliott, second in the league, was awarded Friday's game in the late afternoon against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Coach Kyle Shanahan however prefers to see how Sunday Breida feels before determining if the running back will play.
"Just to see how he feels the day of the match," Shanahan told reporters. "It was a little crazy this week, it took a little bit more yesterday, we kept it limited today trying to handle the wear and tear, but better be dubious so hoping it works. "
Breida, who suffered a knee injury in week 3, began the week of training by being limited on Wednesday, training in the middle of Thursday, then being limited again on Friday.
Niners enter the semifinal position at the end of the week. In addition to Breida, rear Alfred Morris (knee) is questionable after being limited in practice in the past two days.
The remaining option of San Francisco on the active roster of 53 players is Raheem Mostert, while rookie Jeff Wilson is in the workout team.
