Say goodbye to tropical storm Kirk – for the second time.

It seems that Kirk, who trained in the Atlantic last week, has dissipated and reformed earlier this week, left for good.

The remains of Kirk were moving west-northwest at 14 mph, about 190 miles south-southwest of St. Croix. The disruption is expected to continue west across the Caribbean over the next few days, the National Hurricane Center announced in its Friday night update (28 September).

Maximum sustained winds were near 40 mph with stronger gusts.

Kirk's remnants were expected to produce 2 to 4 inches of rain with isolated 6-inch maxima across St. Croix and east of Puerto Rico until the next day.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Leslie is expected to tour the North Central Atlantic until next week. Maximum sustained winds were near 45 mph and some strengthening was forecast over the next few days.

There was no threat of landing.
