Maurizio Zanfanti is dead: Playboy, 63, who slept with 6,000 women, dies while having sex with a 23-year-old tourist

A famous Italian playboy who slept with thousands of women died at the age of 63, while having sex with a 23-year-old tourist.

Maurizio Zanfanti, nicknamed the "Romeo of Rimini", became intimate with this woman when he had a heart attack, according to local media reports.

Realizing that something was really wrong, the Romanian tourist alerted the emergency services, but the night club manager could not be saved.

Also known as "Zanza", he died Tuesday night "after doing what he did best – loving women," reported the Italian newspaper Il Resto Del Carlino.

Zanfanti, who would have had more than 6,000 women in his lifetime, would have known the tourist for a few years.

In the moments leading up to his illness, he had sex with this woman in a car in Via Pradella, in Rimini, in the Emilia-Romagna region.

According to some information, the tourist would dress up when Zanfanti's illness would have appeared, prompting him to alert the medical services.

The paramedics rushed to the scene, but the playboy is dead.

The mayor of Rimini described it as a "legend of the night".

Zanfanti, who became known for promoting the Blow Up nightclub in the 1970s, claimed to have sex with more than 200 women a summer.

He said that he loved them all and everyone. Over the years, a number of women have claimed to have had children with him.

The images show the playboy "king" – whose final interview was with the German newspaper BILD in 2014 – posing with different women at the scene.

Previously, he had claimed to have never been to a gym.

"But I did a lot of gymnastics on beds," he laughs.

He also explained how he would receive visits from former lovers – some married -, adding that even their daughters "wanted to see me".

The playboy, who boasted of olive skin, flowing locks and "beautiful hair," would have spent his winters working in Scandinavia.

Previously, he had told BILD that he was convinced to have "done more for the Riviera Romagnola than some tour operators".

Sending to the newspaper four years ago, he announced his retirement by saying: "At 59, I'm getting too old for that."

However, it is by posting his legendary "love" that he died earlier this week.
