BOULDER, Colorado (AP) – Steven Montez has lost 22 of 26 passes for a total of 237 yards and a touchdown. He scored two more points to lead Colorado against UCLA 38-16 on Friday night.

UCLA went 10-7 on an 11-yard pass from Thompson-Robinson to Michael Ezeike and a short-distance goal. JJ Molson scored 50 yards at the end of the first half and gave UCLA a 16-14 lead with a 40-yard margin early in the third period.
But everything was Colorado after that. Shenault, who scored the first Buffalo touchdown at a 57-yard reception, scored in a 1-yard touchdown run to bring the score to 21-16.
Travon McMillian, who had 102 yards in the game, scored from 6 yards for a 28-16 lead and Montez had a 35-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.
