Representatives from two of the world's hottest hot spots will address the UN General Assembly on Saturday.
North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho is expected to discuss nuclear arms negotiations when he will speak, while Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem is expected to discuss the civil war brutal in his country.
Both countries seem to be potentially at the forefront of major developments around both issues, with ramifications far beyond their borders.

North Korea has made three US citizens imprisoned in the hermit nation and has made what the White House has declared to be the remains of fallen service members of the Korean War.
Pyongyang has also failed to conduct nuclear or missile tests and the images suggest that it has begun to dismantle a missile launch site. However, there is no evidence that North Korea has reduced its nuclear stocks.
Pompeo plans a trip to Pyongyang next month to prepare for a second Trump-Kim summit. He met with his North Korean counterpart on the sidelines of the US General Assembly on Wednesday and tweeted that the meeting was "very positive".

Trump expressed optimism about his ability to achieve denuclearization, citing his partnership with Kim.
"We have very good relationships. He likes me, I like him, we get along well, "said Trump at a press conference Wednesday. "He wants to make a deal and I would like to make a deal."
The Syrian Foreign Minister will discuss Saturday the brutal civil war in the country that has killed more than 400,000 people and displaced millions of Syrians.
The Trump administration has been running two missile strikes in Syria over the last two years, after what it claims to be chemical attacks directed by the Syrian army against civilians.
A possible Syrian army offensive against rebels in Idlib province had been launched after Russia and Turkey had reached an agreement for the creation of a demilitarized zone in and around of the area.
Trump hailed the decision made during a speech to the US Security Council Wednesday, saying, "I hope the restraint will continue. The world is watching. "
