LAMPASAS, Texas (KXAN) – Dozens of people were injured in the explosion of a bus carrying fifth-grade students from Norman, Oklahoma, near the airport. Lampasas, along the road 281.
It arrived just after 3:15 pm, according to the Lampasas police.
A spokesman for the Texas Ministry of Public Security said the bus was traveling in the rain when it went hydroplaning, skidded on the road and crashed into a fence.
The school bus had a total of 27 people inside.
Nobody died, but many were treated on the scene and taken to nearby hospitals.
The school bus came from the Normandy public schools and the 24 students from the bus went from 10 to 11 years old. Two of the bus adults were slightly injured, but another person was not.
The Texas Department of Transportation has had to close the highway, but we do not know how long.

The bus was heading for San Antonio, but the cause is still unknown.
