A 20-year-old man was charged with murder after telling police that he had thrown his four-year-old brother from the roof of the family's seven-story building.
Police responding to an emergency call found Shimron Smith unconscious and insensitive in the yard outside his home in Brooklyn, New York early Saturday morning.
The boy was declared dead at the scene, according to the NYPD.

Smith was charged with second degree murder, accused of throwing the Shimron off the roof of the seven-story building.
Shimron was the youngest of a family of six children. His family arrived in Brooklyn from Guyana, a country on the North Atlantic coast of South America, less than a year ago.
An investigation is underway.
