CLEVELAND – Three teenagers were injured during a shootout in Cleveland on Friday night.
A group of teenagers stood together near E. 131st and Southview Avenue, near a bus station, when seven to ten shots rang out. A 14-year-old boy was shot in the upper right thigh but managed to escape and call the police.
When the police arrived and questioned the 14-year-old, he expressed concern that the shooters had followed him. While the police were talking to the teenager, reports that two teenagers with gunshot wounds were being transported to Marymount Hospital have been reported. Their wounds were linked to E. 131st and Southview shots.
Police said one 17-year-old and one 16-year-old were in the hospital. The 17-year-old was shot in the foot and the boy had a wound on the right side of his head. The three gunshot wounded were in a stable state, according to police records.
Police said she was looking for a video footage of the shooting in several surrounding buildings and churches.
