More than 100 flights were canceled and more than 300 flights were delayed at San Francisco International Airport due to the closure of two intersections of runway under maintenance.
Two of the main SFO tracks have been closed since 1am and will continue to be closed until 7am Sunday. This caused 114 cancellations and 378 delays, confirmed the OFS officials.
"The intersection of two runways is one of the most used areas of the FSO," said Ivar C. Satero, airport manager.
