Iran 's Revolutionary Guards say they have fired missiles on militants in eastern Syria in response to a deadly attack at a military parade last month.
According to a statement, "many terrorists were killed or wounded" during the strikes.
At least 25 people were killed during the September armed attack in the city of Ahvaz, the deadliest in Iran for more than a decade.
The Islamic State group and an Arab separatist group claimed responsibility for the assault.
According to a statement on the Revolutionary Guards site Sepah News, several ballistic missiles were fired in an area east of the Euphrates in Syria.
