Several people responsible for the Ahvaz attack were killed or wounded in the strike, reported IRNA without details.

"The security of the Iranian people is the red line of the armed forces and the CGR does not spare any effort to maintain peace and security," said the IRGC statement, according to IRNA.

The Ahvaz attack killed 29 people and wounded 70 others. Civilians and soldiers were among the victims, IRNA had already reported.

Iran promises to punish perpetrators

Last week, Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, accused Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates of funding the perpetrators and threatened to "severely punish" the brains.

Iranian army members are crying at the public funeral of the victims of the attack in Ahvaz.

"According to reports, this cowardly act was committed by the same people who are saved by Americans every time they are trapped in Syria and Iraq and whose hands are in the pockets of Saudi Arabia and the UAE." said Khamenei. official site.

Anwar Gargash, UAE Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, said that "the official incitement against the UAE in Iran is regrettable" and that "Tehran's accusations are unfounded".

The parade on September 22 was part of the national celebrations being held in Iran to mark the 30th anniversary of the end of its eight-year war with Iraq.

Gunmen opened fire on armed forces marching in a park, as well as spectators gathered to watch the parade, spokesman for the Iranian Armed Forces, Brig. General Abolfazl Shekarchi told Mehr, a semi-official Iranian news agency.
