A set of bones discovered on the steep slopes of a Colorado mountain could provide the latest information the authorities need to understand what happened to a woman involved in a love triangle that was last seen in 1980 .
The Chaffee County Sheriff's Office announced Sunday in a press release that "many human remains" that belong to Beverly were found after law enforcement officials spent five days searching Mount Shavano, located about 124 km west of Colorado Springs.
England, a 32-year-old mother of two, was reported missing on 12 June 1980 in Salida, Colorado. Excavations involving FBI agents took place last week at the same spot where bones were discovered in England in 1992, FOX31 reported.
"There were several remains that presented possible damage and this could possibly reveal a cause of death," said Sunday the sheriff's office
In addition to the bones found on the side of the mountain, the authorities said that "several objects believed to be associated with his death" were found and collected as evidence.
The human remains found last week will now be sent to a pathology lab at the University of North Texas, where they will be scanned for identification.
A set of human bones connected to England were discovered on Mount Shavano in 1992, but the remains were originally mistakenly identified as pioneers. When the bones were properly identified in 2015, the County Sheriff's Department of Chaffee reopened the file.

Last month, FOX31 reported unsealed search warrants revealing that Britain was linked to another woman, Mitzy Abeyta. Police investigators and relatives of the two women said in documents obtained by the press station that England had had an affair with Mitzy's husband, Steven Abeyta, at the time of the woman's disappearance. 32 years old.
A friend of the family told investigators that England was considering ending the case with Steven Abeyta, while another witness told the police that England and Abeyta had been seen together in a donut shop the morning of the disappearance of England.
In 2015, after the remains were identified, Mitzy told a detective that she had taken part in a "tough match" with Beverly, claiming that the 32-year-old girl had picked up a broken bottle and licked it. had sliced in the leg. FOX31.
When FOX31 visited Abeyta in early September, her husband, Steven, came to the door and said, "It's an old thing … it's old what you look ", before going home when asked whether his wife was or not. involved in the disappearance.
Chaffee County sheriff John Spezze has called for a grand jury last month in an interview with FOX31, saying search warrants and interviews are "pretty revealing of the seriousness of the situation."
But the 11th judicial district attorney, who covers Chaffee County, said she could not prove exactly how England was dead. District Attorney Molly Chilson, who declined to be interviewed last month, told FOX31 in 2016 her decision not to call a grand jury.
"The idea that this case could be prosecuted, even if we sat in front of a grand jury and if we got some minor information from a few people, would not be the type of information that could give to proof beyond a reasonable doubt, "she said.
