Trubisky goes against the Bucs; Goff, Elliott, Kamara, Luck, Cousins, Cohen, tight-end injuries and more in Scott Cullen's Statistically Speaking.
HERO
Mitch Trubisky – The second-year Bears quarterback earned 354 yards and six touchdowns against Tampa Bay and added 53 yards in three races, which is by far the best game of his career.
Jared Goff, QB, Los Angeles – He was considered a bust as a rookie, then was a QB system, and now, Goff is just a rising star at the post. He completed 26 of 33 passes for a total of 465 yards and five touchdowns in a 38-31 win over Minnesota.
Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Dallas – If the Cowboys are successful this season, they will probably need Elliott to play an important role, and he did it against Detroit, amassing 240 yards and a 29-touch touchdown.
Alvin Kamara, RB, New Orleans – The semi-offensive Saints was ridiculous, the best-performing option in the quarter-final match, and he lit the Giants for 181 yards and three touchdowns on 24 hits.
Andrew Luck, QB, Indianaopolis – After two improbable weeks, the Colts quarterback scored 464 yards and four touchdowns in a 37-34 loss to Houston. It was his first game of 400 yards in less than four years.
Kirk Cousins, QB, Minnesota – It was in an effort lost to the Rams, but the Vikings quarterback hooked up 72% of his passes for 422 yards and three touchdowns. It was his second match against the 400 yards in four starts for the Vikings.
Matt Ryan, QB, Atlanta – On the wrong end of a 37-36 score against Cincinnati, the Falcons quarterback scored 419 ayrds and three touchdowns, his biggest number of assists in the game in two years.
Tarik Cohen, RB, Chicago – Usually considered a change in pace in the Bears, Cohen has collected 174 yards and a touchdown for 20 touchdowns against Tampa Bay, his greatest number of maneuvers and hits in 20 career games.
Todd Gurley, RB, Los Angeles – The Rams star runner scored 156 yards and one touchdown in 21 touchdowns against the Vikings, for the third time in four weeks that he accumulated more than 140 yards (and the week he did not crossed this threshold, he scored three touchdowns).
Cooper Kupp, WR, Los Angeles – The second-year Rams offense was the most productive game of his career, scoring nine passes for 162 yards and two touchdowns for 11 goals against the Rams.
Golden Tate, WR, Detroit – In a 26-24 loss to Dallas, the veteran catcher caught all eight passes for a total of 132 yards and two touchdowns, the first time in his career that he has amassed more than 100 yards and several touchdowns.
Corey Davis, WR, Tennessee – Bouncing to beat the Eagles, the Titans receiver has nine passes for 161 yards and a touchdown for 15 targets, the best game of his young career.
Melvin Gordon, RB, L.A. Chargers – It was a tight game against San Francisco, but Gordon had another big day, accumulating 159 yards and a touchdown on 22 touchdowns.
DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Houston – The best catcher in Texas was in Indianapolis with 10 passes for 169 yards and a touchdown on a dozen targets.
George Kittle, TE, San Francisco – With a new quarterback at the end of the 49ers offensive, the second-year offense scored a career record of 125 yards and a touchdown for six receptions against the Chargers.
Jared Cook, TE, Oakland – With eight catches for 110 yards and two touchdowns on 13 targets against Cleveland, the veteran forward was back in a 100-yard form after two mediocre weeks.
Mike Davis, RB, Seattle – In the Seahawks' training for Chris Carson, the racing race companion earned 124 yards and scored two touchdowns in a 20-17 victory in Arizona.
Taylor Gabriel, WR, Chicago – The receiver of veteran slot machines caught the seven targets for 104 yards and two touchdowns during a 48-10 rout on Tampa Bay.
Nick Chubb, RB, Cleveland – The Browns rookie rider scored just three runs in Oakland, but finished with 105 yards and two touchdowns.
Adam Thielen, WR, Minnesota – The most targeted catcher in the league (56 in four games) had eight catches for 135 yards and a touchdown for a dozen Rams targets.
Julio Jones, WR, Atlanta – He can not enter the end zone, but the Falcons catcher has captured nine passes for 173 yards on a dozen targets against Cincinnati.
ZEROES
Drew Brees, QB, New Orleans – Although the Saints had a comfortable victory against the Giants, their star quarterback earned a modest pass of 217 yards without any touchdowns.
Dalvin Cook, RB, Minnesota – Back from injury, the second-year Vikings' half-man has only racked up 20 yards on 10 runs, while defeating Rams at 38-31.
Jordan Howard, RB, Chicago – Even though the Bears have won a dazzling victory, their leader has only racked up 11 runs for 25 yards against Tampa Bay.
James Conner, RB, Pittsbugh – In a disappointing home defeat to Baltimore, the Steelers' half scored 44 yards in 12 hits.
Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Arizona – Maybe the situation will improve with rookie Josh Rosen at quarterback, but the veteran Cardinals catcher caught three catches for 28 yards on seven targets against the Seahawks.
Michael Thomas, WR, New Orleans – It's not necessarily his fault, since he's caught all four passes for 47 yards, but it's not so impressive from a leading catcher.
INJURY
Rob Gronkowski, TE, New England – The Patriots striker was forced to leave the victory over Miami due to an ankle injury. This would obviously be a significant loss should he miss a moment.
O.J Howard, TE, Tampa Bay – The tight end of the second year Bucs suffered a knee injury and will require an MRI. Tampa Bay is fortunate to have another member of the tight quality category, Cameron Brate, on the list and ready to go.
Tyler Eifert, TE, Cincinnati – The Bengal veteran, who has broken his ankle in Atlanta, continues to be injured.
Will Dissly, TE, Seattle – A knee injury took the Seahawks rookie out of Arizona.
Leonard Fournette, RB, Jacksonville – Hamstring problems continue to hurt the Jaguars' running back. T.J. Yeldon and Corey Grant see more action for Jags when Fournette can not play.
