Sequences of what appears to be a Harry Potter game in development were leaked via a Reddit thread on Tuesday and spotted by Metro.
The user of Reddit VapeThisBro claims to have secretly filmed the images after being asked to watch them in a mall and participate in an investigation.
The revealed video shows RPG elements, such as a character creation screen, and shows the character in the third person, making potions, casting spells, and exploring familiar environments, such as the Great Hall of Hogwarts.
Some shots show a screen of spell selection in the left corner with Harry Potter's classic universes such as "Lumos" and "Reparo".
An introductory text in the Reddit feed also indicates that players can choose to be good or bad, which will probably affect the type of spells they can use.
Whether the film is legitimate or not, it seems compelling and a job offer of Avalanche Software last year suggested that the studio was working on a RPG Harry Potter. Unfortunately, Warner Bros. Entertainment did not respond to Variety request for comments regarding the legitimacy of the film.

The Reddit thread also has an apparent appearance for the game (although it is not clear how the user managed to hide it – maybe it's not really a "leak"?):
