Much of the state of Pennsylvania is under surveillance.
The tornado watch was issued by the State College National Weather Service at 14:55. and is in effect until 11 pm
Gusts of wind scattered up to 100 km / h are possible. Hail sparse up to the size of the lime, hail is also possible.
The Pennsylvania counties involved include: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Berks, Blair, Bradford, Butler, Cambria, Cameron, Carbon, Center, Clarion, Clearfield, Columbia, Crawford, Dolphin, Wapiti, Erie, Forest, Huntingdon, Indiana Jefferson, Juniata, Lackawanna, Lawrence, Lebanon, Lehigh, Alfalfa, Lycoming, Mckean, Mercer, Mifflin, Monroe, Montour, Northampton, Northumberland, Poir, Potter, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Venango, Warren counties, Washington, Wayne, Westmoreland and Wyoming. Parts of Ohio, New York and West Virginia are also affected.
At 17:43, the following counties were added to the surveillance: Adams, Bedford, Cumberland, Franklin, Fulton, Lancaster, Somerset and York counties.
A tornado watch is issued by the National Meteorological Service when conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes in and around the surveillance zone. A tornado watch is usually issued for a duration of four to eight hours and is normally issued long before time has elapsed.
