Phoebe Bridgers covers "It'll do it all" Tom Petty: listen

Last year, the day after Tom Petty's death, emerging singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers joined the legion of musicians covering Petty's songs as a tribute. Bridgers and his group performed "It'll All Work Out," a deep extract from the 1987 Petty and the Heartbreakers album. Let me get up (I have enough).

Today, on the occasion of the first anniversary of Petty's death, Bridgers has released a digital deluxe version of his debut album, 2017. Stranger in the Alps. One of the bonus tracks is a studio recording of this same Petty Pouch. It also includes a demo of Bridgers' independent tube, "Motion Sickness".

the foreigners The reissue comes online during the construction of the first eponymous EP of the Bridgers supergroup with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus, Boygenius. This project shared three amazing songs in August; the full EP will be released in November.

Bridgers is not the only artist to share today a Petty cover to mark the anniversary of his death. This morning, Pains Of Being Pure At Heart released the recording of "Runnin 'Down A Dream" from the cover of a full Full Moon Fever album, which will be released later this month.
