Injuries: Leonard Fournette, D.J. Hayden excluded

The Jacksonville Jaguars will take part in Sunday's clash with the Kansas City Chiefs without two of their best players.

Doug Marrone, Jaguars coach Leonard Fournette (hamstring) and a half corner D.J. Hayden (toe) will not play on Sunday.

Fournette's status is not a shock. The second year defender worsened her injury in the fourth week and Marrone said Monday that he did not know how long the half was missing.

Hayden's injury will put more pressure on a Jaguars secondary who has the unenviable task of trying to contain the crime headed by Patrick Mahomes.

While Fournette is absent for week 5, the Jaguars have good news about safeguarding T.J. Yeldonwho should train with an ankle injury. The Jaguars, however, do not expect a close end Austin Seferian-Jenkins (central muscle injury), center Brandon Linder (knee, back) and guard Andrew Norwell (knee) to practice.

Here are some other injuries we are watching:

1. Atlanta Falcons coach Dan Quinn said on Wednesday that he was expecting a half-offensively. Devonta Freeman, who missed the last three games due to a knee injury, will return to practice Wednesday. Quinn added a defensive tackle Grady Jarrett (ankle) will not play Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

2. The Philadelphia Eagles coach, Doug Pederson, said the offensive midfielder Darren Sproles continues to face a hamstring injury and its condition is day-to-day. The team also monitors the injuries sustained by a quad in the back Corey Clement and offensive tackle Jason Peters.

3. Pat Shurmur, coach of the New York Giants, said the corner half Eli Apple (groin) and defensive end Olivier Vernon (ankle) are both supposed to practice. Shurmur also said wide receiver Sterling Shepard cyst removed from his back, it should go in a "day or two".
