Free-agent wide receiver Dez Bryant said he’d embrace a return to America’s Team.

Nearly six months after being released by the Dallas Cowboys, Bryant tweeted on Tuesday that he prefers a reunion.

In response to a tweet asking Bryant where he was signing for the 2018 season, he wrote: “I’ll rather it be the Dallas Cowboys if not I’ll be ready to play somewhere else.”

Bryant’s stance contrasts with his feelings of less than a month ago when he tweeted during the Cowboys’ Week 1 loss that he’d “rather go somewhere I can showcase my skills for real,” implying he wouldn’t mind playing for the New England Patriots or Washington Redskins.

Bryant also publically criticized the coaching staff after being released, saying the organization “planned to get me out.”

Bryant was set to earn $12.5 million in base salary for this season and next. He signed a five-year, $70 million contract in July 2015.

Entering Week 5, the Cowboys rank 30th in the NFL in passing.

Bryant, who has had visits with the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns, was a three-time Pro Bowler during his eight years with the Cowboys, accounting for 7,459 yards receiving and 73 touchdowns.
