Everyone, the favorite Brooklyn Nine-Nine, sass master dance, leaves the show.

In a tweet on Wednesday, Chelsea Peretti announced his departure from comedy on NBC after a brief stint on Season 6, with a few possible appearances as guests for the future.

"B99 fans. Hiiiiiiiiiiii. Chelsea Peretti, here. I will not be doing a full season of Brooklyn Nine Nine in season 6. But that does not mean I'll never be back, emoji with a flashy face, emoji heart. I want to thank you for the hours you spent watching Gina being Gina, "she wrote.

Peretti then quoted Emmy Rossum in a follow-up tweet, mocking the departure of actress "Shameless", accompanied by highlighted quotes from the original statement. "It's hard to know exactly what to say," Peretti wrote. "Maybe Emmy Rossum said it best when she wrote about" Shameless ".

Brooklyn Nine-Nine's showrunner, Dan Goor, also commented on Twitter: "As soon as Mike Schur and I decided to create the show, we wanted Chelsea Peretti to be part of it, and it will always be. She has brought so much to her amazing, hilarious and unique portrait of Gina Linetti, which is not surprising, as she is one of the funniest people in history. We really tried to create a scenario for his departure, at the height of the character, which can only be described as "the human incarnation of the 100 emoji." It is sad to see a family member leave, but we are very proud of it. from Chelsea and excited for what she's doing next. I also know that this is not the last time we will see Gina Linetti. I mean, she was upset by a frickin 'bus, and she just missed it like a week of work. "

Peretti embodies the city's friendly civil administrator, Gina Linetti, who actively avoids work and happily insinuates nonsense into all the conversations around the office. Peretti appeared in almost every episode of the series (except when she left on maternity leave in Season 5) and is involved in several long-running jokes, including her strange family relationship with Charles (Joe Lo Truglio).

Peretti, who has also made appearances in "Game Night," "Big Mouth" and "Future Worm," will star in the upcoming "Friendsgiving" comedy film.
