The first quarter of the NFL season is over, only two teams remain undefeated and some Super Bowl candidates have had a tentative start to the season.
In the fantasy world of football, Fitzmagic seems to be well and truly exhausted. So it may be time to jump off the bandwagon and search for replacements with the help of drop cables.
Wide receiver
Dede Westbrook – Jacksonville Jaguars (13.7 fantasy points on average, belonging to 12.5% of the ESPN Fantasy Football teams)
Westbrook exploded in the Jaguars victory over the Jets in Week 4, setting career highs in catches, targets and yards. The former Oklahoma student has scored more than 80 receiving yards in two of the last three games and could be equally impressive in Week Five when he faces a Chiefs defense who conceded the second-largest number of yards passing the league.
Taywan Taylor – Tennessee Titans (8.5 fantasy points on average, held by 3.9% of ESPN Fantasy Football teams)
Having recorded seven combined receptions in the first three games, Taylor recorded the same number of goals in Week 9 for the ninth week, while the Titans beat the Eagles in overtime. Tennessee has released Rishard Matthews, which means Taylor should see a lot of volume happen in the coming weeks.
Keke Coutee – Houston Texans (22 fantasy points on average, owned by 0.3% of ESPN Fantasy Football teams)
The Texan rookie made his historic debut Sunday, racking up 109 yards in 11 receptions, a record for any rookie since the NFL's merger with the AFL. the Cowboys defense waits for Houston in Week 5 is better than the Colts last week, but Coutee is a tempting option to add to the list.
Strategist
Blake Bortles – Jacksonville Jaguars (19.8 fantasy points on average, belonging to 18.1% of the ESPN Fantasy Football teams)
Bortles appeared in this column before Week 3 The Chiefs could be one of only two undefeated teams in the NFL, but conceded the league's second-highest scoring pass with an average of 362.7 yards per game. During the season, only two other teams have accumulated more fancy points against the opposite quarters than Kansas, so Bortles is a must.
Marcus Mariota – Tennessee Titans (10.3 fantasy points on average, belonging to 20.4% of the ESPN Fantasy Football teams)
Mariota had a tough start to the season behind the Eagles, where he had more touchdowns, completions and yards over his other two games combined. The Titans are the next Bills and, although Mariota may not deserve a starting spot for the moment, it must also be added to the list.
Mitchell Trubisky – Chicago Bears (19.4 fantasy points on average, belonging to 19.5% of the ESPN Fantasy Football teams)
Six touchdowns, a 73% pass percentage and a 13.6-yard pass per pass: Trubisky's game against the Bucs in the fourth week was as perfect as possible. While it is unrealistic to expect him to keep similar numbers, it's worth it, especially since Matt Nagy seems to have overhauled the Bears offense. However, it should be noted that Chicago will have a holiday this week.
Come back
Nyheim Hines – Colts of Indianapolis (14.3 fantasy points on average, owned by 15.6% of ESPN Fantasy Football teams)
Hines scored nine yards on 11 goals for 63 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday, adding 10 yards rushing in four races. The Colts will face the Patriots Thursday on the road, but Hines, available in nearly 75% of the leagues, could be a valuable reserve for the next bypasses.
T.J. Yeldon – Jacksonville Jaguars (15.8 fantasy points on average, belonging to 47% of the ESPN Fantasy Football teams)
Yeldon was mentioned in this column before Week 2 when Leonard Fournette had doubts following an injury. Fournette finally returned to the game in week 4 to aggravate his hamstring problem, which means that Yeldon, who remains available in 53% of the ESPN leagues, should see much more action in the coming weeks.
Nick Chubb – Cleveland Browns (6.7 fantasy points on average, owned by 15.7% of the ESPN Fantasy Football teams)
Two touchdowns and 105 yards on the ground would be incredible numbers, unless Chubb has only three total achievements in the fourth week. That said, Carlos Hyde has amassed less than four yards per port in three of the first four games of the season. and the Browns might soon decide to give Chubb the job. That alone is reason enough to hide it on the bench.
Tight end
Tyler Kroft, Cincinnati Bengals (1.9 points on average, belonging to 0.4% of the ESPN Fantasy Football teams)
It is almost impossible to find value in this position this week. Kroft receives the podium while Tyler Eifert is ruled out for the season after an ankle injury in the 4th week. Kroft has up here an average of nine yards per season this season and should see his numbers increase with time on the field.
Antonio Gates – Los Angeles Chargers (6 fantastic points on average, held by 11.7% of the ESPN Fantasy Football teams)
Gates earned 23.8 points in Week 4 with a score and two receptions on five targets. Considering he's averaged six fantastic points in the first three weeks, it's easy to see that his contribution has been boosted by his first touchdown of the season. In the fifth week, the Chargers will face the Raiders, the second worst defense in terms of points conceded this season.
Austin Hooper – Atlanta Falcons (8.1 Fantasy Points on Average, Held by 39.3% of ESPN Fantasy Football Teams)
Hooper appeared in this column last week and is once again mentioned as the Falcons face off against the Steelers, who let out the most fantasy points in the first three weeks of the Pittsburgh season in the fifth week. its percentage in the workforce has climbed 14% over the past seven days.
