A Palestinian teenager was killed by a bottle of Israeli gas fired during a demonstration along the northern border of the enclave with Israel, GazaThe health authorities said.

The incident follows months of demonstrations by Gazans along the border fence with Israel, claiming their right to their ancestral lands, where they had been expelled 70 years ago.

Last Friday, seven protesters were killed by Israeli gunfire, including one aged 12 and 14.

This was the bloodiest day since the demonstrations of May 14, when more than 60 Palestinians were killed in Gaza during protests against the inauguration of the US embassy in Jerusalem.
