CHelsea Clinton pleaded Wednesday with opponents of Supreme Court candidate Brett Kavanaugh to spare his daughters their critics.

"Please, let Judge Kavanaugh's daughters alone," she tweeted on Wednesday. "They're not part of your drawings, your jokes, or your sketches – if you can not make your point about Judge Kavanaugh, anyway, without intimidating his kids, it's not worth it. not worth it. "

Clinton's tweet was a response to Chris Britt's September 28 cartoon that portrayed Liza Kavanaugh, 10, praying for her father.

"My God, forgive my alcoholic father liar and anger at having sexually assaulted Dr. Ford," we read in the caricature.

In her opening statement to the Senate Judiciary Committee last week, Kavanaugh told legislators that Liza had told her mother: "We should pray for the woman" who accused Kavanaugh of sexual assault.

Clinton did not support Kavanugh's confirmation in the Supreme Court, but defended other children whose parents are sometimes dragged into the spotlight, including her first son, Barron Trump.
