Kim Kardashian West's bodyguard is being sued for $ 6.1 million by the celebrity insurer after his flight to Paris two years ago.

The AIG insurer claims that Pascal Duvier and his company, Protect Security, have "neglected" to protect the star's private apartment.

Kardashian West was stolen under the threat of a firearm and tied up during the October 2016 Fashion Week in Paris.

AIG paid the cost of stolen jewelry during the incident.

The five thieves, dressed as police officers, put a gun on her head while they stole her before tying her up and locking her in a bathroom.

At the time, Mr. Duvier accompanied the sisters of Kardashian West, Kourtney and Kendall, to a nightclub.

The star described the attack in an interview with the French newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche.

"They caught me and took me down the hall," she said. "They tied me with plastic cables and stuck my hands, then they taped my mouth and my legs."

AIG's lawsuit, filed in Delaware, reportedly stated that the bodyguard and his cabinet had left celebrity alone in his room.

According to the TMZ celebrity website, the lawsuit also alleges that there have been numerous breaches of security – including a missing or broken lock and a faulty intercom system – which they claim would have also had to be treated.

Mr. Duvier and his company Protect Security have played a role of protection for other celebrities, including Black Eyed Peas.
