Disney's Star Wars live television series looks a lot like a western

Director Jon Favreau ("Iron Man", "The Jungle Book") revealed on Instagram the title and description of his series of actual action scenes taking place in a galaxy far away for the next service of streaming of Disney.

Although Boba and Jango Fett both wore Mandalorian armor, they were not either, a kind of mercenary warriors and bounty hunters. Jango, however, was adopted by the Mandalorian warriors and grew up on their planet.

Since the description clearly indicates that the new series takes place between the events of "Return of the Jedi" and "Star Wars: The Awakening of the Force", we know that Boba and Jango will not be part of the story because both characters died well before this period.

Instead, it looks like we're getting a series that looks a lot like a western – a genre that Lucasfilm has tried with mixed results in "Solo: A Star Wars Story".

Favreau, who will be the producer and executive producer of the series, is familiar with the world of Star Wars. He played a character from the animated series "The Clone Wars" – a series in which the Mandalorians played an important role – and also appeared in "Solo".
