Yankee Stadium was in a boil on Wednesday night when the New York Yankees played – and eventually defeated – Oakland Athletics in the AHL Wild Card game. The Yankees fans were there, and they applauded, applauded and trampled from start to finish. And considering that the match was a 7-2 defeat, they had every reason to do it.
Acclaim, clap and trample is an innocent pleasure. What this fan of the Yankees did does not fall into the category "innocent pleasure".
This is a video of a Yankees fan throwing beer at a very sad A. fan. This poor fan was sad before covering himself with beer, then more and more sad after being sprinkled. But his immediate reaction was disbelief. Because seriously, unless your goal is to be a huge idiot who gives a bad name to the Yankees fans, why do that to someone?
To everyone's surprise, the video went viral. (The guy who recorded the video said it was not the guy who threw the beer.) And baseball fans, including Yankees fans, were not happy with the unknown beer thrower.
@Yankees please ban this person from attending other games.
Sincerely, a fan of the Yankees.

It's not cool, as a fan of the Yankees, it's totally rude.
A fans who went last night were cool. Many Reggie Jackson jerseys. Unless they threw beer on you, it was totally unjustified.

Act as if you were there. Fans like this do not deserve fine stripes …

It's too expensive. I'm all for a good time, but you do not have to be like that. The Le Mans team was already losing. Smh

The video ended up attracting the attention of A's Twitter account users. They wanted to find that fan of A, besieged and soaked in beer, and provide him with new, non-stinking equipment.
Do you know this fan of A? We would like to find it, pair it with new Oakland A equipment that does not smell like beer.
Lots of love from Hero Town, buddy.

And because the Internet can sometimes be wonderful, the fan has identified and tweeted an excellent response.
That's me !! Never been more proud to be a fan of A Born and raised in Oakland but living in Brooklyn now. Sad, my chavez sweater is covered in beer but it was well worth it! You are the best!

UPDATE: We found it! John Spencer, originally from Oakland and currently residing in New York, is now dry. We will send John a package of help and we will welcome him in a match next season. Thank you for representing the A in New York, John! #RootedInOakland #HeroTown pic.twitter.com/jBnlzqXOGX

The rules of the world of fans are not difficult. There is really only one principle and it is actually a universal rule for anything related to sport or school: do not be mean. And that really should not be told to any fan of anything, but just in case someone needs to say it clearly: do not throw your beer – or anything else – to a fan of the losing team.
