Oakland's 7-2 loss to the Yankees could be a bit of a joke, but for a track and field fan, the stink will soon be gone.
After John Spencer, his stalwart supporter of Oakland, was filmed and emptied of a beer and a cup of beer at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday night, the A wanted to remedy the situation by sending him a pack of care "that does not smell beer".
Despite the intentions of the Yankees fan, Spencer kept his cool and took it in stride.

But the A's did not know who the fan was or how to find it, so they did what you do these days: they started a manhunt Thursday on Twitter.
Do you know the fan of this A? We would like to find it, plug it in with a new Oakland A equipment that does not smell beer.
Lots of love from Hero Town, buddy.

Less than an hour later, they found their man, Spencer, a native of Oakland and living in New York, wearing an Eric Chavez jersey in the game.
Spencer, who tweeted Thursday that he had "met a lot of awesome Yankee fans too," will get the team's new A material, which will also host him during a match. next season.
"In both cases, it was really worth it! Roll or die for a," Spencer tweeted on Thursday.
