Model Emily Ratajkowski said she was arrested while footage showed that Schumer was arrested with other protesters on Thursday.

Amy Schumer was in the crowd on Thursday in Washington, DC, protesting against the possible appointment of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.

In one video The actress and parent of Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), sent to the daughter of a person with whom she was protesting, said, "I think we are going to be arrested." MSNBC showed a picture Schumer being detained.

Journalists on the Hart Senate website said Schumer was in detention.

Model Emily Ratajkowski says she's also been arrested. "Today, I was arrested in protest at the appointment of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, a man accused of sexual assault by several women." Men who hurt women may no longer be placed in positions of power, "she told Twitter. It is unclear whether Ratajkowski was arrested or simply detained.

On Thursday, Senators received a report from the FBI, which reviewed allegations made against Kavanaugh about complaints of sexual assault and alcohol abuse. Republican senators said the report – which would not be made public – was comprehensive and did not prove wrongdoing. Democrats said the report was rushed and badly done, leaving more questions than answers.

Earlier, the Senate Judiciary Committee heard the emotional testimony of Christine Blasey Ford, a California professor, who accused Kavanaugh of sexual assault. He was accused by other women. Kavanaugh had the opportunity to speak before the committee and denied all the allegations. The hearing was controversial and volatile, with more than one person raising their voices or, in the case of Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), screaming outright.

A vote to confirm Trump's controversial decision in the Supreme Court is expected to take place on Saturday.
