A waitress helps children who are difficult to handle so that their mother can eat in peace

This is a scenario that many mothers can identify: you dine at the restaurant and your little one difficult does not stay still. This is what happened to a mother in Greensboro, North Carolina, who said she felt defeated when her child started shaking in Olive Garden. Mom is now rent a nice waitress named Nianni Rudder, who stepped in to help so that she could enjoy her meal.

Courtney Ruth Pedigo was out having dinner with her father, stepmother and 18-month-old daughter Harlynn earlier this week when the toddler began to worry. "Like any toddler, she did not want to be restrained … it was just a constant battle to try to make her relax and I did not want to bother anyone trying to dine," Pedigo said. at CBS News.

"I got pissed off at one point, I found Nianni and I said:" Can you just put my food in a box? "Pedigo said.

The waitress refused the mom a takeaway box. "No, it does not bother anyone, you'll go there, enjoy your dinner with your family, and I'll be there in a moment," Rudder said, according to Pedigo.

Pedigo said that she was ready to take her daughter and her food and go eat in the car, but she listened to Rudder and went back to the table. Moments later, the waitress showed up with Harlynn with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.

"She was sitting there and she was eating ice cream and wiping her mouth and her hands because Harlynn was digging in the bowl and she was great," said the grateful mother about Rudder.

Rudder spoke with the family while she was helping Harlynn. She's not a mother herself, but she has the age of a Harlynn niece, so she knows how to look after toddlers. Rudder also explained other personal things in his life, Pedigo said.

"She said some really sentimental things about her life," Pedigo said. "She spoke a little about herself … The things she said only warmed the heart." Rudder talked about his mother, who died two years ago. She told the family that she was working as a waitress while going to school full time to become an anesthetist. "It's partly why I admire it so much," Pedigo said.

"If I lost my mother, I would shut up in a dark room, I would not go to school, work or anything," Pedigo said.

The mother was forced to share the heartwarming story about the nice waitress on Facebook. Pedigo publicly praised Rudder's strength in a long post. "You never know what people are going through," Pedigo told CBS News. "She's so strong … that's why I wrote an article about her … I wanted to shed light on Nianni."

In the message, Pedigo writes, "Girl, you'll never know how grateful I am for tonight."

"I know your mother is looking up from the sky with the biggest smile and so incredibly proud of the woman you are in. I aspire to be the person who goes the extra mile," Pedigo wrote in Facebook's viral message.

The grateful mother had dinner with her family without worrying about her daughter first. "When I say I appreciate it, it's so much more than just calming me down and just reassuring me and being fair to me," Pedigo said. "Nianni did this by the kindness of her heart."
