Netflix Signs Lease for New 13-Storey EPIC Building in Hollywood – Variety

Netflix should occupy even more real estate in Hollywood.

The streaming giant has signed a lease with Hudson Pacific Properties to fully occupy the 327,913 square feet of EPIC, its 13-storey office complex located at 5901 Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles.

Netflix plans to move into the building, currently under construction, in phases beginning in January 2020. The lease is expected to expire in 2031.

Netflix also signed a minimal lease extension – until 2031 – targeting 325,757 square feet of office space at ICON and 91,953 square feet of workspace at CUE, which are both Hudson Pacific assets located on the lot of Sunset Bronson Studios. Sunset Bronson is owned and operated by Hudson Pacific and is home to long-term tenants CBS and KTLA.


In 2015, Netflix first signed a space agreement in the 14-story ICON building and then rented the entire tower. He relocated his Beverly Hills office to the new building, including February 2017. Netflix signed a lease for Hudson Pacific's five-story CUE building early last year, and also leases sound and TV sets. other premises at Sunset Bronson Studios.

EPIC, designed by Gensler, is a vertically stacked, terraced building offering panoramic views of the Hollywood Hills, the Pacific Ocean, and downtown Los Angeles. Floor-to-ceiling windows and opening glass doors provide direct access to outdoor decks, fireplaces and collaborative spaces and a roof terrace with a pantry. EPIC offers more than 25,000 square feet of usable outdoor space, according to Hudson Pacific.

The EPIC building is within walking distance of the Los Angeles Metro Red Line, as well as residential amenities, restaurants and shopping.
