The Michigan state police are investigating why and how two victims were killed on Thursday night in the northbound M-39, 8 km south, but the victims are not cooperating.

"Although the investigation is in its infancy, it does not seem like a random incident," the MSP said in a statement on Twitter on Friday.

The victims are a 29-year-old man and a 30-year-old man. Both are hospitalized, one in critical condition and the other in stable condition. According to the police, both victims are able to speak.

Around 10:30 am On Thursday, soldiers arrived on the Southfield Freeway, between 7 and 8 km of roads, after a call to 911. The police found that the victims were already at Providence Hospital, which informed the MSP of their location, according to WDIV-TV (channel 4).

None of the victims gave the police a location or other details. Michigan Police Lieutenant Michael Shaw told the Free Press that they "do not cooperate".
