The magicians – The adaptation of the novels of Lev Grossman in the television show Syfy returns for a fourth season. And at New York Comic Con, we finally got the exact date: January 23, 2019. We also had a disturbing first preview of the upcoming season, which shows how much aspiring wizard Quentin Coldwater (Jason Ralph) and his friends will have to go against it.
The events of last season saw our heroes succeed in their quest to bring back magic (which, all things considered, is probably a good thing in a series called The magicians). But that came at a cost: an apparently unstoppable monster is on the run, and all our potential heroes are stuck in our mundane and boring world, believing that they are fashion editors and DJs instead of virtuoso assistants.
The brief trailer shows Margo – now the High King of Fillory, the magical land of Narnia-esque – invoked by a spirit of Ember (the god of Fillory in the resemblance Aslan) that she will come to protect her kingdom from this new threat. But how to make sure that someone saves a magic kingdom without knowing that the magic is real?
Presumably, we will know when the new season will be broadcast in January. In the meantime, if you do not look The magicians, the first two seasons are now available on Netflix.
