Warner Bros. has become accustomed to using popular comics to publish new details and trailers for their upcoming projects. A few months after the start of the first trailer in San Diego, fans finally have another look at Jason Momoa's new movie Aquaman.
Momoa and director James Wan launched the New York comic-con with a new poster for the upcoming movie. They are now celebrating the second day of the event with the second trailer of Aquaman. Look in the video player above!
The film is the next episode of DC Comics and the troubled superhero universe of Warner Bros., which lost momentum after the release of Justice League. But the studio has renewed its goal of giving filmmakers more freedom to make the movies they want.
Wan told ComicBook.com about the rest of this movie Justice Leaguebut will be distinctly his own isolated film.
"It was very important for me from the start to be able to make my own film and have my own voice," said Wan. "After Seven Furious and Summoning 2I did not want to be a director to rent. After Seven FuriousIt's kind of what I was to a certain extent, but after that, I do not want to be that guy anymore.
"So it was very important for me to bring my own stamp, my own visual aesthetic, to create the characters." [Momoa] was a bit established Justice League, I wanted to bring his character into this case, basically, in many ways. So, it was important for me to pay a respect to where it was left in[[[[Justice League]but then let me take him where I want to take him to the end of the film. My hero embarks on this hero's journey to become someone very different from where he started. It was something that was very important to me. But the film I want to do, that allowed me this freedom. "
Wan has had tremendous success with starting franchises in the cases of Conspiracy and Viewed, and has no problem directing big-budget action movies, as evidenced by his popular episode The fast and the furious franchise.
But now, he must attack the legitimate King of Atlantis, and fans will be able to see how his first cartoon film is going Aquaman premieres in theaters on December 21st.
