After almost a decade in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Dolly Parton's dinner and pirates travel tour goes to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The attraction will open in the spring of 2019 and will involve an inland lagoon, acrobatics, fights and live animals. The original score of the adventure show was composed by Parton and Mark Brymer.
"The show was so successful in Myrtle Beach that we kept watching Pigeon Forge and wondering why we had no Pirates show out there yet," Parton said in a statement. "We have the perfect location, in one of the hottest areas of Pigeon Forge, and the time has come for my pirates to claim title to the Great Smoky Mountains!"
Once completed, Parton says the 21,000-square-foot arena next to The Island in Pigeon Forge will be "a scene for Crimson and Sapphire pirates who will fight on deck, in the water and in the sky at above their large ships deep inner lagoon. "The construction of the site is expected to begin in early January and the opening is scheduled for spring 2019. The next year announces already loaded for the farmer 72 years old. In June, she announced that she would produce and play in a series of films premiered on Netflix in 2019, each focusing on one of her legendary songs.
